Shipped the new GitHub Issues

The new GitHub Issues is an ambitious new rich app-like experience for managing issues. Aside from a large amount of implementation work on this product, the bulk amount of my effort here was was around de-risking GitHub's adoption of new technology (in this case, React) and helping the team quickly level up and build this complex new product for GItHub.

Shipped GitHub Actions to general availability

I was involved in many aspects of preparing GitHub Actions for general availability, from designing and leading implementation on observability efforts to leading cross-organizational collaboration in order to ensure that as GitHub Actions scaled, the services it depends on would scale, as well.

Shipped the GitHub Actions public beta

As GitHub Actions approached public beta, the size and number of the teams working on it expanded rapidly. Alongside day-to-day technical implementation work, a lot of my work was helping to pave paths for cross-organizational and cross-team collaboration. This work included, for example, building alignment on an Architectural Decision Record process for designing APIs that span multiple organizations (see this Insider article where I was later interviewed on this topic).
